Anyway, as I peruse, I save {images that is} and although I will likely never do anything with these images now {they will collect and rest in files on my desktop} for who knows how long, I find happiness knowing they are there. I feel the connection to fashion that I will {likely} forever miss. Oh well. Life goes on.
Usually I will start off by categorizing these images, but there end up being far too many that I have pulled and saved, that I quickly get over labeling them all accurately. Also, as much as I love the shows, my favorite part by far are the street shots and photos from the after parties. That's where the good stuff is...it's less obvious, and way more personal - people bring their A-game for these events and Jak & Jil, Garance Doré, Style.com, and Refinery29 are some of my faves to creep on to make me feel a part of the action.
I was just looking through some of the images that I saved from the past couple of weeks, and oddly enough {well, not oddly enough if you know me} there was a definite trend in the shots that I chose to save. Fur. And not just regular fur. Coloured fur. So much of it and so, SO much goodness about it.
My love for fur is a moral issue that I continue to struggle with, because I do have sense of humane wrong doing for thoroughly enjoying and collecting {vintage} fur coats. An unfortunate choice, probably on my behalf, since I live in one of the most mild climates on the planet that is Southern California. Although, I must say {and as noted above}, that the only ones I buy myself {mainly because it's all I can afford} are used - thrift store/vintage shop/flea market - I have a thing for them. I tell myself it's not as bad since somebody {maybe/probably more than one somebody} has already worn it and it's recycled goods that is just waiting to be re-worn.
Either way, good or bad, here they are - some of my favorites from Fall '12 Fashion Week{s}...maybe you will enjoy this visual candy as much as I do. Maybe you won't. Either way, the good thing is that I'm bloggin'. And that's never a bad thing for the soul.
***I am not claiming any credit for these shots. These photos are a combination of images from Style.com, Garance Doré, Tommy Ton for Style.com, and Jak & Jil {links listed above}***
